In response to the current stipulations put in place for the safety of our community, we are updating our course of action and procedures during this time. You are likely following the news surrounding the impact of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the measures local health officials, government, businesses and individuals are taking to safeguard the health of our local community. We want to share some of the steps that Pettit Realty is currently taking to care for our brokers, employees, clients and our community in response to the outbreak. The safety of our employees and our clients is our highest priority. We are committed to ensuring you have continued service as well as safety measures taken. Our plan allows us to maintain our daily operations while minimizing risk to our employees and clients.
Many of Our Services are Available in the Same or a Modified format
The measures we have put in place allow us to continue to operate as usual. Many of our office staff continue to work remotely at this time and we are still continuing to fulfill all customer service inquiries. Our office remains closed to drop in visits. We continue to keep in person contact to a minimum and are working to facilitate as many appointments as possible via electronic appointment if possible to keep exposure at a minimum. We do provide in person visits if necessary as long as they are maintained within current real estate practice guidelines and safety practices. We offer all forms of on-line payments and are still checking the mail daily and can still receive and process rents at this time. For employees handling essential tasks/jobs such as taking in money/emergency maintenance tasks, etc. our employees are wearing gloves, masks, and/ or wiping down surfaces and taking other precautions to protect you and other team members at this time.
Our staff/brokers worked diligently to facilitate leasing homes/listing homes in a safe manner by acquiring video walk-through’s of our available listings to accommodate showings while allowing viewing without exposure, wearing mask & gloves while accessing homes, equipping ourselves by reviewing current recommended sanitary practices to prevent exposure & spreading, and taking every precautionary measure possible. At this time, we are not be conducting in home inspections/services for residential or commercial property management for anything other than emergency work orders and move out inspections. For real estate showings, inspections, appraisals, we are operating according to real estate guidelines that allow for 3 people to access a home at a time and following all health and safety practices including masks, gloves, etc.
Our maintenance personnel will wear masks & gloves while working in and out of homes as a precautionary measure (unless this is presents a health risk to the individual), but we will be limiting in home work to emergency and requested work orders only. At this time, we will still work to turnover vacant homes as we know housing is essential. We are doing everything we can to stay in compliance with the law, ensure we are doing our part to keep everyone safe, while ensuring customers that are scheduled to arrive will have a home ready to move into that is still in line with our company product and standards.
Each of our real estate brokers & staff members have been updated routinely regarding any laws and regulations that are in effect. We want to assure our customers that any and all current transactions will be handled with the utmost care. Brokers handling your transactions will be ensuring that you are notified regularly of how we will still navigate your transaction during this time. Many resources in the financial, title/escrow, & appraisal world are working tirelessly to provide continued updates and resources to keep the industry moving!
Please review the alternative options below regarding our services to assist you at this time while our office is closed. Please contact us if there is no alternative to a cash payment. We will work to accommodate if possible by remaining compliant with the law. We are aware that financials are an essential job.
